Pencils and Highlighters

In my world and from my perspective, the people who rock, who are doing the most important work on the planet, are those employed by the church.  They endeavor to spend their human energies communicating the most paramount message in human history: Creator God loves His Creation. 

It’s how I see the world.

making something beautiful

When I first encountered the grace of God, It short-circuited my system. The concept of grace was something that I couldn’t wrap my mind around.  I wasn’t aware of it, but at the time I developed a response to it that has been driving me for most of my life.  Only now is God carefully unfolding it for me.  He has used many people and places to open me up.  I want to share it with you.

slight change of course

When I was in jr. high, my youth group took a trip to Colonial Williamsburg. While we were there, we went to Busch Gardens and I rode the Lochness Monster. I don’t even know if that roller coaster is still there. It was awesome. It had two loops that were connected like chain links. I loved that ride. I think I rode it 7 times that day.

SHOE for brains

I wrapped my brain around it a thousand times and came up with the perfect story. According to my own mind, it was all perfectly presented and poignant.
